"The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto"-January's Book for the Community Book Club
The Community Book Club for adults will be reading "The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto." The book is written by Mitch Albom. There are a limited number of copies at the library available for checkout. Everyone is welcome!We will meet January 11, 2025 at 9:15 a.m. at the Vinton Public Library located at 610 2nd Ave. in Vinton.
12 Wishes: 2025 for Kids - January 3rd
The Vinton Public Library will host Jordan Carter on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Do you have wishes and dreams for 2025? Learn how Spanish speaking countries celebrate the New Year, then write your own wishes and create them into a collage vision board!
Soil Health Workshop to be held on January 9 in Vinton
There will be a free soil health workshop on January 9th from 9am to 12pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vinton discussing how to best manage cover crops and practically implement soil conservation practices. This is an event held by ISU Extension and the USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) an equal opportunity provider, employer, and lender.

Snow-Fun Camp, January 17
Snow-Fun CampJanuary 17th, 1:45pm-3:30pm at Benton County Nature Center; $5/youthSnow-Fun Camp is a way for the kiddos to enjoy an afternoon full of snow-related fun at the Nature Center! Activities include playing in the snow, snow science and more! Snow-Fun Camp is for youth in 3rd-5th grade. Snow gear is needed for this camp. If there is no snow, alternative activities will be planned.

Join us for the Community Quilting Series: Q&A on Saturday, January 18th, from 9:00 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Vinton Public Library Boardroom. We will have a Q&A session with local quilters.
